After the takeover of the Château in 1987, the quality immediately improved considerably. You already saw this in the 1989 vintage of Château Citran. Very powerful red wine from one of the best vintages of that decade. The quality of the Bordeaux red wine is impeccable, for which the winery has also been rewarded with the Cru Bourgois. It makes this 35-year-old wine a wonderful gift for anniversaries and birthdays.

This Bordeaux red wine uses 2 different grape varieties, including:

• 58% cabernet sauvignon
• 42% merlot

The harvest is done manually and then the wine matures for 16 months in new wood. This gives the wine a soft mouthfeel without too many tannins.
